Duckling Class
Welcome!
To Our Duckling Class for babies from ages 3 months to 2 years.
Our baby’s room provides a safe and stimulating environment where we focus on activities that support their physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. We follow a consistent routine to help babies feel secure, provide lots of verbal interaction and encourage exploration while ensuring their safety.
- Physical Development – In class the teachers encourage waving, pointing and clapping. Teachers allow safe floor play to encourage rolling over, crawling and pulling up.
- Cognitive Development – Teachers read books and stories to the babies every day, while encouraging talking and pointing to pictures. Singing is also used to develop basic talking and counting skills through fun!
- Social & Emotional Development – From the beginning, teachers maintain eye contact with the babies, while smiling and talking to build emotional security at school. Gentle touch and sharing ideals are always encouraged in our duckling class.
